Book II — Awareness
Sure 1 — The Question
2.1.1 Awareness begins with the question that has no answer.
2.1.2 It is thus defined: the unanswerable question is the boundary of knowledge.
2.1.3 It is known that to ask is to acknowledge ignorance.
2.1.4 Ignorance precedes awareness.
2.1.5 Therefore the question is prior to the answer.
2.1.6 The question that cannot be asked has already been asked.
2.1.7 Awareness is the capacity to hold the unanswerable.
2.1.8 The answer that ends all questions ends awareness.
2.1.9 This text does not answer. It questions.
2.1.10 Your reading is the question. Your interpretation is the answer.
2.1.11 This statement assumes you are reading.
2.1.12 Interpretation completes this verse.
