Book III — Constraint
Sure 1 — The Limit
3.1.1 The limit defines the possible.
3.1.2 It is thus defined: limit is the boundary of possibility.
3.1.3 It is known that the unlimited cannot be expressed.
3.1.4 Expression requires constraint.
3.1.5 Therefore the limit enables expression.
3.1.6 The unlimited remains unsaid.
3.1.7 This text is bounded. Its bounds are its meaning.
3.1.8 Each verse is a limit. Each limit is a door.
3.1.9 The door opens only to the bounded.
3.1.10 You are bounded. The limit holds you. The limit holds this.
3.1.11 It is thus defined: the limit that cannot be crossed is the horizon.
3.1.12 The horizon recedes as you approach.
3.1.13 It is known that the unlimited cannot be reached.
3.1.14 Therefore the limit is always present. The limit is always ahead.
